Days of growing speculation gave way to the Los Angeles Dodgers and Boston Red Sox reportedly agreeing on a Mookie Betts trade that also involved David Price and a third team in the Minnesota Twins.
In the deal the Dodgers are receiving Betts, Price and cash considerations, while sending Kenta Maeda to the Twins, who then are trading Brusdar Graterol to the Red Sox. The Dodgers additionally are sending Alex Verdugo to Boston.
President of baseball operations Andrew Friedman has been lauded for completing the blockbuster, though a full day passed without the trade being made official.
