The coronavirus pandemic that has swept across the globe has cost people more than just money. Lives have been taken and ways of life completely lost. The monetary aspect of the pandemic also cannot be overlooked. In the MLB in particular, we could be seeing one of the biggest hits to the league’s value in history.
According to TicketIQ, MLB could be facing a potential $2.5 billion loss in they cannot get games going until July. At this point, most experts have July first through fourth marked off on their calendars on potential start dates. With that in mind, it seems as though this number will be accurate when all is said and done.
