A trio of Dodgers prospects were in the starting lineup for Saturday’s MLB Futures Game at Dodger Stadium. Flame-throwing pitcher Bobby Miller started on the mound for the NL side, with LA’s top prospect, Diego Cartaya, catching the Dodgers top pitching prospect.
Cuban infielder Miguel Vargas, who’s recently gotten some starts in the outfield in Triple-A, started the game at second base.
Prior to the game, Vargas was kind enough to leave a comical message for Miller in the locker room playing on the oh-so-obvious “Miller Time” nickname.
Miller got the message.
