Mookie Betts made starts at shortstop, second base, and right field throughout the season. Dodgers general manager Brandon Gomes revealed that Betts will return to the infield in 2025.
When Betts moved to shortstop for the first time in his MLB career, Dodgers shortstop Miguel Rojas helped him transition to the new position. The 35-year-old veteran expressed his excitement about Betts moving back to the infield.
“Knowing that Mookie is going to be back, it makes me happy. It makes me excited to keep working with him and to keep going at it with Mookie at short and second base, because I know how better he got when the time was there,” Rojas said to Dodgers Nation’s Doug McKain.
