Mets left fielder Brandon Nimmo limped through New York’s 9-0 loss to the Dodgers in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series. But, it was not the disappointment from the tough loss that hurt Nimmo. It was his left foot, which he told The Athletic after Sunday’s game, was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis in May.
Nimmo believes the injury worsened in the sixth inning of Game 3 of the National League Division Series against the Phillies. He told The Athletic running is painful for his foot but he faces minimal pain when batting or fielding.
