The New York Mets re-claimed left-handed pitcher P.J. Conlon off waivers from the Los Angeles Dodgers. Los Angeles claimed Conlon from the Mets last week, but designated him for assignment in order to create room for Caleb Ferguson on the 40-man roster.
Conlon did not pitch a single inning for any of the Dodgers’ Minor League affiliates. The Mets
selected him in the 13th round of the 2015 Draft out of the University of San Diego. Conlon is from Belfast, Ireland, and is the first Irish-born player in the Major Leagues in over 100 years.
