Mets' lineup is perfect fit for Dodgers fill-in Ian Thomas

Dodgers starting pitcher Ian Thomas throws to the plate during the first inning of Friday's game against the Mets in New York. Thomas started in place of Zack Greinke, who flew home to Los Angeles on Thursday for the birth of his first child.

NEW YORK – The Dodgers shouldn’t have a difficult time finding starting pitchers for this series at Citi Field. Volunteers should be lining up around the block to pitch to the New York Mets’ lineup.

Left-hander Ian Thomas was the lucky guy Friday, getting his first major-league start as a replacement for Zack Greinke.
