Don’t get me wrong, I like Max. He is one of those signings that come out of nowhere and pay off big. Released by the A’s in March of 2017 after a 96-game tryout where he hit only .195, he signed with the Dodgers in April of 2017 and was sent to AAA OKC. He played 110 games there and hit .309 with 12 homers and 44 RBI’s.
He went to spring training with the team in 2018 but was called up after 9 games. He went on to play 137 games with the Dodgers. He hit 35 homers, drove in 79 and hit .
