Outlasting doesn't seem to do justice to what happened for the Dodgers on Friday night. In Game 3, down 2-0 in the series to the Red Sox, their season hung in the balance with each pitch it seemed.
In the 18th inning, seven hours and 20 minutes after it began, Max Muncy gave the Dodgers life with an opposite field walk-off solo home run. The longest game in World Series history no matter how you slice it, ends up a 3-2 win for Los Angeles.
This game has now taken longer than the game time of the entire 1939 #WorldSeries.
