LOS ANGELES -- Dodgers shortstop Manny Machado (El Ministro) homered in the first inning of Saturday's game against the Padres, giving him 30 home runs for the fourth consecutive season.
All but six of those home runs Machado hit for the Baltimore Orioles, who traded him to the Dodgers at the All-Star break in a 5-for-1 blockbuster. He hit a career-high 37 in 2016.
Machado's home run, a three-run blast to center field, came off San Diego starter Brett Kennedy.
