SEATTLE -- The Dodgers enjoyed a drama-free Friday night with an 11-1 blowout win over the Mariners, as Manny Machado slugged two of their five homers, Walker Buehler struck out eight in six innings and the bullpen did nothing wrong.
For most of the past week, the Dodgers offense hadn't scored enough runs, the beleaguered bullpen had allowed too many and the club fell into third place. But they flipped that script with a return to the formula that put them in first place in the first place.
In addition to Machado's two shots, Matt Kemp launched his 200th home run as a Dodger (first since July 22) and Yasmani Grandal and Max Muncy homered as well.
