PHILADELPHIA -- Walker Buehler gets no day off on Wednesday when he will be recalled to start the Dodgers' series finale against the Phillies.
Buehler has been up, down and all around this season. He most recently was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City before the All-Star break, although he never pitched there this time around. He began the season in the Minor Leagues, has had two stints on the disabled list with a microfractured rib and still is in the conversation for National League Rookie of the Year with a 4-2 record and 3.45 ERA.
Manager Dave Roberts, who earlier said he's considering a six-man rotation through the current 17-game stretch, said he expects Buehler "to stick around for a while.
