Walt Alston (1954-76)
Came with the Dodgers from Brooklyn for the 1958 season, three years after leading the team to its first World Series. Won three more World Series with the Dodgers (1959, 1963, 1965). Went 2,040-1,613 (.558) before retiring at the end of the 1976 season. Was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1983.
Tommy Lasorda (1976-96)
Led the Dodgers to World Series championships in 1981 and 1988. Went 1,599-1,439 (.526) and retired July 29, 1996, after suffering a heart attack one month earlier.
