WASHINGTON D.C. -- After a bank of lights at Nationals Park malfunctioned three times, the Dodgers game against the Washington Nationals Friday night was suspended.
The two teams will pick it up with the Dodgers trailing 3-2 after five innings Saturday afternoon and play the game from that point.
The Dodgers were leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth inning when the lights above the third-base side of the field went out the first time.
After an 82-minute delay play resumed -- for all of nine minutes. The lights went out again as Dodgers reliever Chin-Hui Tsao was warming up to start the bottom of the fifth inning.
