Leo Crawford named Midwest League Pitcher of the Week

LOS ANGELES — Dodgers minor league left-hander Leo Crawford was named Midwest League Pitcher of the Week after a strong start last Thursday for Class-A Great Lakes.

Crawford pitched six scoreless innings on Thursday against the Burlington Bees (Angels), allowing just one hit and one walk, striking out five.

It was a nice turnaround start for the 20-year-old, who allowed five home runs and 17 runs in 11 innings in his previous three starts. On the season, Crawford has a 5.92 ERA in six games for the Loons, including five starts, with 14 strikeouts and eight walks in 24u2153 innings.
