LOS ANGELES -- Dodgers Hall of Fame former manager Tom Lasorda underwent surgery to replace a pacemaker, the club announced on Friday.
"Tommy Lasorda underwent surgery to replace his pacemaker yesterday. He's doing well and looking forward to returning to Dodger Stadium," the club announced on its Twitter account.

Lasorda, 89, has been hospitalized since early May. He received his first pacemaker following a 2012 heart attack. Lasorda stepped aside from his role as manager in 1996 after suffering a heart attack.
