LOS ANGELES -- Expectations for confident rookie Walker Buehler have always been ambitious, and he keeps exceeding them, as he did Monday, dominating the Rockies to lead the Dodgers to a sixth consecutive National League West title in a Game 163 tiebreaker at Dodger Stadium.
With two-run homers from Cody Bellinger and Max Muncy powering the offense, Buehler fired 5 1/3 no-hit innings before finishing with 6 2/3 one-hit innings while also singling home his first career run in a 5-2 win. As a result, the Dodgers will host the Atlanta Braves in the NL Division Series beginning Thursday, while the Rockies must play the Cubs in Chicago on Tuesday in the NL Wild Card Game.
