Yasiel Puig sounded frustrated after his latest 0-for-4 performance Sunday. More than that though, he sounded happy to be alive.
“Felt good,” Puig said in English after the Dodgers beat the San Diego Padres. “Six-game losing (streak) — that was like somebody died. The Dodgers didn’t win today, maybe somebody die in the group.”
Patrolling right field, Puig looks alive as ever. His missile of a throw in the fifth inning erased Alexei Ramirez trying to stretch a single into a double. That was his third assist this season, tied for the most among National League outfielders.
