TORONTO >> It’s been 207 days since the New York Mets last visited Los Angeles. Some of the names have changed on both sides, and time has healed Ruben Tejada’s wound, but a heated National League Division Series last October may have done enough to stir a lingering rivalry.
The Mets, who eliminated the Dodgers in five games, begin a four-game series at Dodger Stadium on Monday night.
The emotions surrounding the series probably run stronger in Queens, where Chase Utley’s bone-breaking slide into Tejada’s leg caused a firestorm of controversy — and ultimately a new rule.
