LOS ANGELES >> Little more than 12 hours after he gave up nine hits and five runs, recording only eight outs, before his exit in the third inning on Saturday night, Mike Bolsinger was optioned to Triple-A.
It was another rough start for Bolsinger, who joined the rotation in mid-May.
Making six starts, the right-hander was 1-4 with a 6.83 ERA, and he had yet to pitch past the sixth inning.
“Mike understands that when you’re up here, you got to get outs,” Manager Dave Roberts said. “So, to send him back there to work through some things, get some guys out, hopefully we’ll see him later.
