SAN FRANCISCO >> Once more with feeling.
Left-hander Hyun-Jin Ryu will restart his minor-league injury-rehabilitation assignment Sunday with Class-A Rancho Cucamonga. Ryu is scheduled to throw two innings and approximately 30 pitches.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts indicated the rehab assignment will last four-five starts.
Ryu has already tried this once. Trying to return from surgery to repair a torn labrum over a year ago, Ryu made three rehab starts in May (two with Rancho Cucamonga and one with Triple-A Oklahoma City). After a four-inning outing with the OKC Dodgers on May 25, Ryu experienced discomfort in his shoulder and his rehab was shut down.
