As positive coronavirus (COVID-19) cases and hospitalizations continue trending downward, the California Department of Public Health reclassified L.A. County into the orange tier. This paves the way for the Los Angeles Dodgers to expand up to fans at 33% of Dodger Stadium capacity.
The club can now sell approximately 18,480 tickets per home game. Had L.A. County remained in the red tier, the Dodgers would have been limited to roughly 11,200 fans.
The state released updated numbers on Monday, and the L.A. County adjusted case rate dropped from 4.1 new cases per 100,000 people to 3.1 new cases per 100,000 citizens.
