LOS ANGELES -- The road to Dodger games will go through Vin Scully Avenue.
The Los Angeles City Council voted unanimously Friday to rename Elysian Park Avenue near Dodger Stadium in honor of the iconic broadcaster. A contingent of current and former Dodger players were on hand for Friday's meeting as the council voted 12-0 to support councilman Gil Cedillo's motion.
There will now be a 30-day period for public comment before the council will have a second vote to enact the motion as a city ordinance.
