A late Springfield rally took away the opportunity for all four Dodger affiliates being victorious on Sunday. Nevertheless, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Great Lakes are in hopeful positions to join Rancho Cucamonga in their respective postseasons.
Jacob Amaya, the 2017 11th round draft pick, had a nice game for the surging Great Lakes Loons. The soon to be 20-year old (September 3rd) went 3-for-5 with a double and his first home run as a Loon.
The young middle infielder has shown good plate discipline this season. In the Midwest League, he has 14 strikeouts against 19 walks in over 90 plate appearances.
