By the time Dodgers’ charter lands at LAX on Sunday night following the team’s week of work in Cleveland and Cincinnati, KLAC/570 team beat reporter David Vassegh will still need a couple more hours to get to to his West Hills home figuring his 4-year-old daughter Adriana and 1 1/2-year-old son Joseph will be long asleep.
But he won’t have missed out on Father’s Day.
The Vassegh family strategy was to celebrate it a week earlier. On the Sunday afternoon following the Dodgers’ dramatic 9-7 win over the Reds at Dodger Stadium on June 11, Adriana Vassegh provided the encore with in presenting her dad with a card made out of a paper lunch sack with a tie on it, and a bunch of nuts and bolts glued to it.
