LOS ANGELES -- Dodgers utility man Kiké Hernandez will undergo right shoulder surgery on Wednesday in Los Angeles, the team announced on Tuesday night.
Hernandez, 24, will have what the team is calling a "minor" procedure, to be performed by team physician Dr. Neal ElAttrache. There is no timetable yet for recovery for Hernandez, with more information to be available after the surgery.
This confirms a report from Oct. 23 from Ruben Rodriguez of El Nuevo Dia in Puerto Rico, who reported Hernandez would be unavailable to play for the Carolina Gigantes in the Puerto Rican Winter League.
