Some Major League Baseball skippers are known to be a player’s manager. Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts is one of those.
Because Roberts is highly respected in the clubhouse by his players, there was a moment before Game 1 of the World Series against the New York Yankees when Kiké Hernández shared a powerful moment with Roberts that will stick with him for the rest of his life.
“I’ve never talked about this but I’ll tell this publicly,” Roberts said of the magical moment during an interview on MLB Network. “I can’t believe I’m even saying this but before Game 1 of the World Series, Kiké Hernández told me, ‘After this series, you’re going to the Hall of Fame.
