ANAHEIM -- Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw is still in line to pitch next Tuesday and the following Sunday, July 9, which would make him ineligible to pitch in the 2017 All-Star Game presented by Mastercard on July 11 in Miami. But the Dodgers could potentially adjust Kershaw's schedule if he is elected by Cubs manager Joe Maddon to be the starter for the National League.
The three-time NL Cy Young Award winner has never started an All-Star Game and is set to make the NL staff for the seventh time. Kershaw's start would have to be moved to the previous Saturday, as pitchers who start the Sunday prior are ineligible to pitch in the All-Star Game.
