Kershaw to make Dodgers-record 8th OD start

Three-time National League Cy Young Award winner Clayton Kershaw will get the ball for the Dodgers on Opening Day, manager Dave Roberts announced Tuesday.

It will mark the left-hander's eighth straight Opening Day start, which will move him ahead of Don Drysdale and Don Sutton for most Opening Day starts in Dodgers history.

Kershaw, 29, has been selected to the NL All-Star team in each of the past seven seasons and finished no lower than fifth in the voting for the NL Cy Young Award over that span. He won the NL MVP Award in 2014.
