Clayton Kershaw will have an MRI on his back, manager Dave Roberts said after the ace's back tightened up during the Dodgers' 2-1 loss to the Phillies on Thursday.
The 30-year-old, who was activated from the 10-day disabled list before the game, went five innings, allowing one run on four hits with five strikeouts and one walk.
It was Kershaw's first start since May 1 after battling left bicep tendinitis.
LOS ANGELES -- Aaron Nola continued to build his reputation as a bona fide ace with a masterful performance Thursday afternoon in a 2-1 victory over the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium.
