MESA, Ariz. -- Trayce Thompson hit a two-run triple in the seventh and Clayton Kershaw struck out five over three innings at Sloan Park to lead the Dodgers to a 7-3 victory Tuesday over the Cubs, who did get solo home runs from Kris Bryant and David Ross.
Kershaw scattered five hits in his second spring start, including an RBI single by Bryant.
"Physically I felt good, the fastball location wasn't great there, especially out of the stretch," Kershaw said. "I threw decent breaking balls, curve could have been better.
