LOS ANGELES — Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen on Tuesday was named a finalist for the Trevor Hoffman Award, given annually to the top relief pitcher in the National League.
Jansen is a finalist along with Wade Davis of the Cubs and Corey Knebel of the Brewers. Jansen won the award in 2016.
The winner will be announced before Game 4 the World Series, on Saturday, Oct. 28.
Jansen had his finest season in 2017, the first season of a five-year, $80 million contract he signed last winter to return to the Dodgers.
