After exiting last nights game six pitches in, J.T. Chargois has been placed on the DL with a neck injury. Replacing Chargois in the bullpen will be switch-pitcher Pat Venditte.
On Monday night, Chargois quickly got ahead in the count 0-2. He then proceeded to throw four consecutive balls, all outside of the zone. After the game, it was announced he left the game with discomfort in his neck and arm.
On the year, the right-handed Chargois is 2-4 with a 3.45 ERA. In 31 1⁄3 innings he has 38 strikeouts.
