Right-handed reliever Josh Ravin has suffered left broken radius in a car accident on Monday and is scheduled to have surgery on it today. If you aren't sure what a radius is, check out the picture below posted by Ravin earlier today. It should explain pretty clearly.
u200bThe 28-year-old has been in the Dodgers organization since 2013 and pitched in 9.1 innings last season at the MLB level. It looked as if Ravin was finally going a chance to compete for a bullpen spot, however this injury will likely put him out 3-6 months. Best case scenario, he is back pitching in minor league games just before the All-Star break, but more likely is that he will miss the majority of the season.
