RANCHO CUCAMONGA --- On a warm pleasant evening at LoanMart Field, the Quakes started their seven-game home stand with a 12-1 win over the 66ers (Angels). The Quakes were led by a fine five-inning start by Joshua Sborz and an offense sparked by two three-run home runs off Johan Mieses' bat.
Kiké Hernandez made his second stop on his rehab assignment and started in centerfield. Hernandez was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a left rib cage inflammation at the end June.
Hernandez played the full game and went 1-for-4 with a walk. After the game, Hernandez said that he had one more game in centerfield with the Quakes on Tuesday.
