Joc Pederson reaches 20 home runs before July 1

The Dodgers unloaded on Allen Webster with three home runs in the fourth inning on Monday night at Chase Field in Arizona, the last an absolute bomb to right center field by Joc Pederson.

The power barrage gave the Dodgers 100 home runs on the season, and gave Pederson 20. The only two rookies in National League history with more home runs before July 1 were Wally Berger (22 in 1938 for the Boston Braves) and Albert Pujols (21 in 2001 for the Cardinals).

Pederson also reached 20 home runs in just 78 games, tied for the 14th-fastest in Dodgers history by any player.
