Joc Pederson knows there are going to be games like Saturday night against the Arizona Diamondbacks where he strikes out in his first three at-bats.
But then there will also be moments like the seventh inning.
Pederson jumped on a first-pitch fastball and launched it over the left-center-field wall for a tying home run that seemed ignite the Dodgers in a 6-4 victory over the Diamondbacks to win their third straight game and improve to 12-2 at home.
“Joc got it started for us tonight,” said Dodgers second baseman Howie Kendrick, who singled home the red-hot Justin Turner for the go-ahead run in the seventh.
