Joc Pederson gets his first start against a left-handed starting pitcher this season, getting the call in center field against Matt Moore and the Rays in the opener of their two-game series at Tropicana Field.
Pederson sat in each of the first six games against a southpaw this season, and on the year has 70 of his 77 plate appearances (90.9 percent) have come against right-handed pitching. Pederson is 0-for-6 with a walk against lefties this season, after hitting .216/.297/.385 against them in 2015.
Trayce Thompson started in center field in the Dodgers' previous six games against lefties, and gets the call in left field on Tuesday night.
