Jack Flaherty Reacts to Getting Game 1 NLDS Nod for Dodgers

Jack Flaherty expressed his reaction to earning the Game 1 start for the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLDS Saturday. The tweet had no words, but a simple handshake emoji.

The LA native quickly emerged as the strongest pitcher in the Dodgers’ rotation. Flaherty was a last-minute trade deadline acquisition, but nobody realized how crucial his addition was until a majority of the rotation was sidelined by injury.

Dodgers ace Tyler Glasnow was projected to lead the club’s postseason efforts, but since he was placed on the injured list in mid-August, the right-hander’s elbow tendonitis turned into a season-ending elbow sprain.
