Jack Flaherty Gets Lit Up in World Series Game 5, Dodgers Fans Don’t Expect Him Back Next Year

The Los Angeles Dodgers put the ball in Jack Flaherty’s hands to try to clinch the 2024 World Series against the New York Yankees in Game 5.

He struggled.

Flaherty lasted just 1.1 innings, allowing four earned runs on four hits with one walk and one strikeout. Flaherty put the Dodgers in an immediate 4-0 hole, before getting pulled for Anthony Banda.

Following Flaherty’s rough start, Dodgers Nation asked fans on social media if they expect Flaherty — an impending free agent — to return to the team in 2025. A majority of them don’t think so.
