In the midst of passing Eric Gagne for the Dodgers all-time lead in saves, Kenley Jansen’s future with the Dodgers remains a mystery and us fans can’t do much but scratch our heads. For several years Jansen has been a force in the Dodgers’ bullpen and often times referred to as the sole consistent arm that the team can rely on in crunch time. Of active players, Jansen ranks 7th in terms of save totals, of course you have to factor in that he was not a closer for the first two years of his career. Posting as many as 44 saves and ranking 3rd in the National League in 2014, we’re left to wonder why it is taking so long for the front office to have him spend his career in Dodger blue.
