PHOENIX -- Dodgers pitcher Hyun-jin Ryu took a step forward on a busy Monday morning at Camelback Ranch, throwing his first bullpen session in 17 days as he continues to recover from left shoulder surgery that wiped out all of his 2015 season.
Ryu threw 20 pitches in his bullpen session on Monday, all fastballs, at relatively light intensity. But the good sign is that he was throwing off a mound for the first time since February 26.
That bullpen session 2½ weeks ago was Ryu's third of the spring but he was briefly shut down after feeling discomfort in his left shoulder.
