PHOENIX -- The Dodgers open their Cactus League league schedule on Thursday afternoon with a game against the White Sox, and the first starting lineup of the spring features Alex Guerrero at third base, and Howie Kendrick leading off.
Manager Dave Roberts said he plans to stagger his regulars in the early going this spring which means, among other things, Adrian Gonzalez is starting Friday but not on Thursday.
Scott Van Slyke gets the call at first base for Thursday's opener, and Trayce Thompson gets the start in center field.
