If you didn’t watch game 2 of the NLDS, Max Scherzer, the game 4 starter for the Nats, pitched a scoreless inning of relief to get his team a good shot at a win in a game that was decided by just two runs.
He only tossed 14 pitches, striking out the side. Not only did he keep his pitch count low enough to be able to be relatively fresh for his start tonight, he also got his team the win and gave himself some momentum against the Dodgers offense.
