Wednesday was Shohei Ohtani’s second bobblehead night as a Dodger. The Dodgers distributed bobbleheads featuring Ohtani holding his dog, Decoy, to the first 40,000 fans in attendance.
The limited quantity of bobbleheads attracted a long line to form hours before the first pitch. A handful of people started lining up by 11 a.m. despite the game starting at 7:10 p.m. Spectators wrapped all the way around to the “Welcome to Dodger Stadium” sign on the corner of Vin Scully Ave. and Stadium Way.
With more tickets sold than bobbleheads available, it was not guaranteed that every person in attendance would be able to acquire a bobblehead, especially the rare golden version that the Dodgers announced on Aug.
