Entering the final week and a half of the regular season, the Dodgers find themselves only a few games back of the Atlanta Braves for the best record in the National League. It’s unlikely that they catch Atlanta, but the Braves have struggled of late since they clinched the NL East.
It’s likely that they have just taken their foot off the gas after winning their division, but it’s something to watch for. If the Dodgers want any shot at catching the Braves, they will need to pretty much win out the rest of the way and hope that Atlanta continues their little slide.
