CHICAGO -- The Dodgers activated Rich Hill off the 10-day disabled list to start the nightcap of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Cubs, recalled right-hander Brock Stewart as the allowed 26th player and optioned infielder Breyvic Valera to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Hill turned in a scoreless start, working six innings with three hits, two walks and six strikeouts. He tossed 90 pitches (65 strikes) and left the game with a 1-0 lead.
The 38-year-old lefty has spent a pair of three-week stints on the disabled list with blister issues on the middle finger of his left hand.
