Hernandez plans to join club in San Francisco

DENVER -- Dodgers utilityman Kiké Hernandez will rejoin the club Monday for the four-game series in San Francisco, manager Don Mattingly said on Saturday.

Hernandez has been on the disabled list since Aug. 31 with a strained left hamstring. Mattingly said Hernandez came out of a strenuous Friday test at the club's Arizona training complex with no ill effects.

At the time of his injury, the versatile Hernandez was starting ahead of Joc Pederson in center field and was hitting .308 on the season with an .842 OPS. He has started this year at all three outfield positions and three infield positions (excluding first base).
