LOS ANGELES -- Enrique Hernandez, who lives for the chance to bat against Madison Bumgarner, did what he does Saturday night, launching a two-run tiebreaking homer in the fifth inning to give the Dodgers a 3-1 lead over the Giants.
Hernandez's homer on a first-pitch curveball was his fourth homer and 15th hit in 33 career at-bats against Bumgarner and came with two out. It cashed in a leadoff single by Austin Barnes, who was 1-for-11 on the homestand before the hit.
It was Hernandez's 10th home run of the season, one shy of his career high, set last year.
