The Cleveland Guardians have designated former Los Angeles Dodgers prospect Scott Barlow for assignment ahead of the series finale between the Guardians and Dodgers on Sunday afternoon.
Barlow pitched for the Guardians in Saturday’s 7-2 loss to the Dodgers. He pitched 1.2 innings, allowing one hit and one run while striking out two.
“We’re devastated,” Guardians manager Stephen Vogt told reporters of Barlow getting designated for assignment, via Kyle Glaser. “It’s never fun to deliver that news to anyone, let alone somebody like Scott Barlow. Just after where we were coming out of last night’s game and looking forward to this next week, we needed to make a move.
